At Boroondara Eye Care, we recommend routine eye health assessments as part of your overall general healthcare. This facilitates the early detection, monitoring and treatment of potential <a title=\"Common Eye Conditions\" href=\"https:\/\/boroondaraeyecare.com.au\/index.php\/common-eye-conditions\/\">eye diseases<\/a>, which helps to achieve better long-term outcomes for your eye health, as well as maintain optimum vision. Regular assessments are even more important as you age, if you have a family history of eye disease, or if you have a health condition that may also impact your eyes, such as diabetes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s not always a progressive condition that\u2019s causing you problems. For example, patients with diabetes should always have a regular eye health check at least every 12 months.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>How will I know when I\u2019m due to be seen again?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We will send you a reminder letter when you are due to have your eyes checked \u2013 if you would prefer a phone call or text, please let us know.
