It is also known as near-sightedness because people with myopia can still see things clearly that are close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-gray-color has-text-color\">Current research indicates that both genetics and environmental factors determine whether a child will be myopic. They also play a role in the progression of myopia.
